The struggle by Africans to travel to Europe at all cost is real. People have employed different methods and means to get to their destination and do not mind the consequences. According to this video, a lot of people travel to Morocco and then attempt to cross the border to Spain, either by water or road. They attempt to cross because they want a better future for themselves and say they are tired of being treated as slaves in their country. One of the immigrants said "If your father dies with nothing, then you would also do the same, so you have to change things". Another, when asked why he wants to travel to Spain so badly, said that Spain has more regard for human rights than African nations.
From the video below, these immigrants are treated no less than animals by the immigration officers, both in Spain and Morocco but they still have the mind that they either go into the country or die trying. One of the immigrants who successfully made it into Spain, when asked on the percentage of people who successfully make the journey, said that if a 100 people started the journey, 50 made it to the wall and just about 2 people successfully enter into the country.
With this disturbing number, most people still attempt the journey and those who do not enter successfully either return with broken limbs or do not return alive at all.
