Anne finally made the trip to Nigeria. While there, she met with Ebuka and his cousin, Rose. She was a pretty young lady who was fair in complexion and very friendly. At first, Anne felt a bit of distrust towards her, but after speaking with her for a while, she realized she was professional and confident in her abilities. Anne decided to go ahead with the opening and settled to locate her business at Lekki. Rose gave her a list of specific locations that would benefit her and she selected one after much consultation. She informed Joy about the establishment, so she would tell her friends and acquaintance, after all, nothing beat marketing by word of mouth. Anne made sure she kept her son informed on any changes and decisions made and so far, he had let her carry-on as she willed.
Her best part in being back was getting to spend time with Ebuka. He supported her all the way and even took time off work the day she was to see the building she would lease. When they were alone, he hinted at taking their relationship to another level and she could not help the bubble of excitement within her.
Now that she was back in London after concluding business and setting most things in place, Anne had time to think about their relationship. At this point, she was quite comfortable with their relationship and felt she was at the stage where she could proudly announce them to the world. She might still have little doubts, but she also had hope.
