In China, a 27-year-old man named Miao Songtao managed to fool 11 men into thinking he was their dream girl and disappearing with a huge sum of money gotten from them, all within a year. Miao even succeeded in tricking one of them into marriage after telling him that 'she' was pregnant.
The young man in question, named Wang, said he met Miao online and when 'she' told him she was pregnant, he and his family were overjoyed. His family immediately began planning a big wedding and grand feast for them. Three days after the perfect wedding, the new 'bride' disappeared and Wang was embarrassed to report his new wife missing after just three days of being married and his family assumed the couple had a quarrel and thus did not report to the authorities either.
Around the time of 'her' disappearance, a young man in a neighboring city notified the authorities that a woman he met online, claiming to be named Miao Xiaomin had tricked him into giving her 31,000 yuan and then disappeared without a trace. The police then managed to lure her into an internet cafe, following leads that they had. They had expected to meet a charming young woman but were surprised to see the suspect dressed as a man with an identity card that read Miao Songtao. Following him to his residence, they discovered women clothes and accessories. 
Miao later revealed in an interview with the police that he had succeeded in swindling 11 boyfriends out of hundreds of thousands of yuan in the last year. The police found it puzzling that only one of the duped men reported the case, but most people think this is because they were ashamed of being ridiculed by the public.
A lot of Chinese internet users have stated that they are impressed by the skills of Miao, as he was able to deceive a total of 11 men into thinking he was a woman and even managed to get one to marry him.
What I still do not understand is how he came up with the lie of being pregnant!
