Update on the Linda Ikeji and Wizkid saga

So yesterday I gave you a brief on the Wizkid and Linda Ikeji controversy, of her reporting the case to the police and all. Well yesterday, Linda and Wizkid met with the Lagos State Commissioner of police, Fatai Owoseni to resolve the dispute.

The celebrity blogger released a statement after the meeting, saying she was writing on the issue for the last time, as she has decided to let the issue die. According to her, Wizkid and his lawyer had been apologizing since last Friday and thou she forgave him, she still felt it was necessary they go to the police for him to officially apologize and write an undertaking, which he did.

She wrote in her blog, “I see a lot of negativity has come out of this case with Wizkid – with many folks bashing me for reporting a threat on my person. But here’s my consolation and why I am glad this happened. I promise you, especially the ladies, Wizkid will never threaten you with harm again. At least not in public. I believe I am the last bus stop. He will think twice before threatening another human being again on social media. A police file has been opened for him, and he has been cautioned. The day he threatens another human being again with harm, then…”

I believe we know what the pause after her sentence signifies. They both took pictures with the commissioner, thou she refused to take a group photo, as she said she did not want any extra drama.

So I guess this is the end of the Wizkid and Linda Ikeji drama, unless of course one of them decides to bring up something else. By the way, Wizkid sure looks humble in this picture..I'm just saying.
