The wages of adultery! Late Saturday night, in thе suburbs оf thе central Pakistan town оf Muzaffargarh, a 22-year-old Pakistani man, Mushtaq Ahmed Baloch, who was having an affair with his cousin, Rani Bibi who is a mother of two,
suffocated in a trunk while trying to hide from relatives. The situation started when Baloch came into Bibi's house late at night while other members of her family were asleep. The noise of his entering woke Bibi's father-in-law and brothers-in-law and they came to investigate what was happening.
Not wanting him to be found in her room, Bibi asked Baloch to hide in a large tin storage trunk in her room and locked it with a padlock. Unfortunately for him, her in-laws came in and began searching the room, as they were suspicious of her. When Baloch started suffocating, he cried out for help but her in-laws purposely did not open the trunk. Within 15 minutes of struggling for air, he died.
The Pakistani police have taken over the case and arrested Bibi's father-in-law and his two sons for murder. Her husband, is confirmed to not have been at home when the incident happened as he has a job in the in another city, 900km away.
